Custom Guitars

In addition to the standard models listed below, I can also build custom guitars based on a customer’s particular requirements. This includes not only the types of timber used in the construction but also fingerboard width, camber and scale length etc. You can view the various processes of guitar construction under the ‘Building the Oak Guitar‘ section of the site.

Hand crafted acoustic guitars by Rob Mitchell

M1
M1

Inspired by both dreadnought and jumbo shaping, just a bit curvier. It has
a bright clean sound.

The soundboard of this guitar is carefully selected Alaskan Sitka Spruce, chosen for its natural “flame”. The back and sides are quality Indian Rosewood, the grain of which is unique to each guitar.

The fingerboard, bridge and head veneer are all West African Ebony. Necks are made from Honduras Mahogany.

Rob Mitchell M2 model
M3

Inspired by the shape of a Gibson J200, just a little smaller. Cutaway version available.

The M 3, again has a deep resonant sound that it to be expected with the use of quality tone woods. The M 3 produces a balanced tonal range with a bright top end.

Constructed from the same materials as both the M 1 and M2.
